Johnson Adult Foster Care was established in 2010 with Headquarters in Vaughan Ontario Johnson Adult Foster Care is a therapeutic foster care agency located in Eastern Central Region of Ontario providing individualized services to Adults and Youths with special needs.

Foster Care Licensing

Foster care for adults is a government mandated and licensed service in many American states. The province of Ontario sets mandatory standards of care and issues licenses for agencies that provide foster care for children. In Ontario, there are no mandatory standards for the provision of adult foster care.

At Johnson Adult Foster Care  All of our homes for adults are approved under the same standards and protocols we use for placing children. To be an approved home, under our license for foster care, each home must meet minimum standards of health, safety, and quality. Every adult in each of our homes has been individually screened and has submitted a vulnerable person’s police check. The primary care providers receive intensive training before an adult is placed. In addition, care providers receive intensive ongoing training.

All information we receive about our clients and their families is kept strictly confidential. Many of our clients are referred to us through other organizations and societies. These may include physicians, social workers, government and home health agencies, trust companies, hospitals, guardians and caretakers.
